Bandit 53 Seasoning was founded by Herbie Thorpe and Robert Alford Jr. in 2023. Herbie and Robby have been friends since their freshman year at St. Paul’s School in Covington, LA. After reconnecting through a common love of cooking, Herbie and Robby decided to launch their own seasoning company. Having just finished a successful Kickstarter campaign to raise seed money, we are proud to offer our first two products, a chili seasoning and an all purpose Cajun seasoning, to all cooking and food enthusiasts.

The name Bandit 53 is a combination of two nicknames. Robert Alford embraced his childhood nickname, “Bandit” (one - armed bandit) and Herbie is known as “53” (Herbie the Love Bug).
